Damian Shelton Scholarship

Damian's family and ASI have created an annual scholarship in his honor. This scholarship will give a child with special needs the opportunity to experience the joys of gymnastics in our Gymmie Kids program for one year. Applications will be accepted annually October 1 through November 30.

The Damian Shelton Scholarship fund is in memory of Coach Damian from ASI Plano West who passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018. Damian was an amazing coach and his positive and energetic personality made an impact on every child he came in contact with. He will never be forgotten and his love for kids will live on.

Daniel Jimenez Scholarship

Daniel Jimenez was a precious young man who spent 10 years of his short life attending classes at ASI Gymnastics Firewheel. The very special impact Daniel made on his coaches and classmates at ASI will never be forgotten. Before Daniel passed, he loved donating his time at a local animal shelter and always strived to make a positive impact on everyone.

His mother, Diana said, "He started taking classes at ASI in kindergarten and quickly joined the competitive team. When he entered middle school, the time demands of the team was too much, so he reduced his attendance to two power tumbling classes a week. One of my favorite memories of Daniel was coming into the gym and sitting in the bleachers. He did not know I was there, so I felt like a fly on the wall watching him. He was always cutting up with the coach and trying to take over the class. It's one of the happy memories I have to look back on when I'm grieving."

Daniel's family and ASI have created an annual scholarship in his honor. This scholarship will be given to a child who wants to participate in a competitive team at ASI Gymnastics. The scholarship will cover partial team tuition for one year.

Mike Deluke Scholarship:

The Mike DeLuke Scholarship fund is in memory of Coach Mike from ASI The Woodlands who passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017. Mike was a beloved coach to hundreds of children at ASI. He made a lasting impact on everyone he encountered with his infectious smile and love for kids. He is greatly missed, but his love for gymnastics will live on.
